| Overview |
The Company is owned
by two partners who hold the total share holding. The Company was started in January
1999 by Eddie Machen and Pirro Kaltani, both who decided to employ their knowledge
and skills in supplying, maintaining and installing renewable energy back up systems
to meet the problems of electricity in Albania. Utilising their skills
and experience, the introduction of complete solutions to a variety of market
section for the electrical needs, is necessary for the current situation in Albania.
The rebuild of the infrastructure, particularly in telecommunication, is an area
that the Partners feel able and capable in supplying modern solutions.
| | Objectives |
Our objective is to establish a reputable
trade and production organisation that will gain the trust of the consumers, suppliers
and investors. · To be the number one Company in renewable energy resource
equipment and a major supplier of telecommunication equipment for the Balkan region.
· To supply goods to the consumer that are of high quality, affordable and meets
the needs of the consumer. · To develop production units, primarily in agribusiness
that will produce quality goods at low prices. · To rehabilitate production
lines where it is economically, environmentally and socially right to do so.
· To work with local and overseas experts to develop projects that will benefit
the Albanian people and their Country. · To improve our service, product and
distribution, through constantly reviewing new innovation, standards and quality
of equipment from our suppliers. · Training is a key component in our Company.
We will seek to continue a strategy of up to date training from our suppliers
for our staff, as well as seeking skills training locally, to ensure that the
Company provide the highest quality of service to its customers. |
| Sales Strategy |
· Given the level of disposable income and price sensitivity of the consumer
in Albania, SWID will look to be the price leader in the market place. To ensure
thus position is met, we have embarked upon an intensive sales and marketing campaign
to ensure customer knowledge about quality and price competitiveness of our products.
· The market is relatively new to mass media advertisement, so our use of
a marketing campaign to educate the public about SWID products will be effective.
· We intend to develop brand name recognition, so the our customers are confident
that they are getting value and quality. · The channel for distribution will
depend on the product. Some will retail, but others will wholesale and in these
circumstances, full support will be given to the wholesaler to ensure our products
are given best coverage to maximise sales. This will be emphasised by the use
of trade shows and other media events. A complete modern service workshop,
provides an in-country repair and service facility to support our sales team.

A full installation and consultancy service is available to the customer who requires
our help in deciding what equipment is needed to meet the needs of the client.
